Course Overview
Do you have concerns about the overhead associated with leasing or purchasing a clinic space? Are you comfortable with a life and work style that is slightly out of the mainstream? Do you dislike traffic and commuting? Then a home-office might be an option worth considering.

If you look at the various clinic models out there today, you'll see there is plenty of room for creativity and ample opportunity to build a practice and livelihood that works best for you. What's more, with tools like the computer in your pocket and the resources of the Internet, there has never been a better time to run your own business. And to have that business fit who you are, and how you want to be in the world.

Having a home-office is a viable way to practice East Asian medicine

Having a home-office is not for everyone and there are a number of concerns and legalities that you'll need to address. But if you're looking for something that is on the opposite of "medical" and at the same time professional, then a home-office set up in the right way can be a great way to lower your overhead, let you feel right at home in your work, and give your patients an opportunity to explore their health and wellbeing in a non-medical environment.

    About Michael Max

The most important thing I’ve learned in my 20+ of practicing Chinese medicine is that acupuncture works from the inside out. Our work with needles puts nothing into a person, but rather calls forth a response from them. Learning to invite the body’s vitality to bring people into a deeper sense of coherence and wellbeing is something that becomes more intriguing to me as the years pass. I’ve had the good fortune to travel a little, to study in Taiwan and China, translate some materials that I found interesting, and to run clinics in a number of different of locations. I’ve been at this long enough to see how my ideas, beliefs and methods have changed over time. So gradually have become a bit less dogmatic and at the same time made peace with what methods work for me and which do not. Chinese medicine is an invitation to ever inhabit our growing edge. We are constantly challenged by the limits of our understanding and the necessity to update what we think we know. These days I split my time between clinical work, writing and hosting the Qiological podcast.

    *CEU/CPD Approvals

Some accreditation bodies have course approval expirations. If the approval expires, you will see a notice next to the name with a date of expiration: "[Until YYYY/MM/DD]". Please factor this date into your own renewal deadline. If an approval expires, you will be able to request that it is renewed and we will submit it for you within 2 business days. Renewals normally come back to us after 30 days. If your accreditation body is not listed under the "Approved" section, you may find it under the "Pending" section. That means that it is either currently pending approval, or that it is available for you to request: "[Upon Request]". New course approvals usually come back to us after 45 days. We use an automated system within our platform that allows you to make these requests in an easy and convenient way. Just visit the course page in your Net of Knowledge account and click the "Request Approval" button at the top. Each "Course and CEUs/CPDs" purchase grants you 1 request per accreditation body. If you request a course approval and do not complete it before its new expiration date, you will need to purchase another "CEU/CPD Add-On" to make another request. If the course is ineligible for approval with an accreditation body due to their subject-matter policies, it will be listed as "[Ineligible]", and no requests will be possible for the course.
