Course Overview
Intrinsic (non-allergy) asthma is well-treated using Chinese Medicine. By holding your hand over the channels and sensing the channel aberrations in the Bladder and/or Kidney channels, you can know the location of the crucial blockage(s).

This course explains the underlying cause and the treatment of intrinsic asthma, aka exercise-induced asthma. In all cases seen thus far in our asthma research projects, the asthma was caused by the failure of channel Qi to reach the adrenal glands via the Kidney channel. The most common source of this failure occurs along the Urinary Bladder channel.

You do not need to take the introductory class, as this class includes a complete review of the material in the introductory class, and much more. This in-depth talk will cover the changes in channel qi flow that should occur in the Bladder and Kidney channels in response to an increased need for oxygen, how the body's failure to make these changes leads to intrinsic asthma, and powerful case studies, including one presented by a guest-speaker acupuncturist whose son's life was on the line.

When sympathetic mode's adreanline increase is not able to occur, due to channel blockages in either the Bladder or Kidney channel, the body uses a secondary Emergency Mode system: the mammalian dive reflex. The physiology of the mammalian dive reflex, in which the throat is closed off and mucus lines the airways, is identical to the physiology and symptoms of intrinsic asthma.
Objective
  • Learn what causes intrinsic (exercise-induced) asthma.
  • Learn how to locate the Bladder and/or Kidney channel blockages causes prevention of healthy UB divergence.
  • Learn how to make treatment plans based on case studies.
  • Examine a case study of life-threatening asthma since infancy
  • Outline
    0 hrs - 30 min

Discussion of the role of the Urinary Bladder channel's divergence in activating or increasing sympathetic mode physiology. When this physiology is not working, the body must use the other emergency response, causing asthma.

    30 min - 1 hrs

An introduction to feeling, by hand, the flow of channel qi. Detection of blockages in the Urinary Bladder and Kidney channels is necessary to eradicate the blockages. General needling of the channels is not enough.

    1 hrs - 2.5 hrs

Case study discussions of removing the channel blockage and patient results.

    2.5 hrs - 4 hrs

Case study of life-threatening asthma since infancy

    *CEU/CPD Approvals

Some accreditation bodies have course approval expirations. If the approval expires, you will see a notice next to the name with a date of expiration: "[Until YYYY/MM/DD]". Please factor this date into your own renewal deadline. If an approval expires, you will be able to request that it is renewed and we will submit it for you within 2 business days. Renewals normally come back to us after 30 days. If your accreditation body is not listed under the "Approved" section, you may find it under the "Pending" section. That means that it is either currently pending approval, or that it is available for you to request: "[Upon Request]". New course approvals usually come back to us after 45 days. We use an automated system within our platform that allows you to make these requests in an easy and convenient way. Just visit the course page in your Net of Knowledge account and click the "Request Approval" button at the top. Each "Course and CEUs/CPDs" purchase grants you 1 request per accreditation body. If you request a course approval and do not complete it before its new expiration date, you will need to purchase another "CEU/CPD Add-On" to make another request. If the course is ineligible for approval with an accreditation body due to their subject-matter policies, it will be listed as "[Ineligible]", and no requests will be possible for the course.
