The design of Classical Pearls Guanyin Pearls offers a unique approach to addressing a broad range of menopausal and post-menopausal concerns. It blends the traditional yin tonic method for managing hot flashes with the yang tonic Qianyang Dan (Submerge the Yang Pellet), a 19th-century adaptation of the classical Fuzi Lizhong Tang (Rectify the Middle Decoction with Aconite) by the renowned scholar-physician Zheng Qin’an, the founder of the Fire Spirit School. Zheng Qin’an and his followers view hot flashes and other symptoms of upward energy movement in older adults as a sign of Kidney energy depletion, which calls for the life force to be anchored back into the lower dantian. This grounding effect is achieved through the combination of aconite and amomum. In younger women, Guanyin Pearls may also be used to address fertility concerns but should be discontinued once pregnancy is achieved.
