This formula was created by Blue Poppy’s founder, Bob Flaws, and based on his extensive study of Chinese gynecologic literature and three decades clinical experience as a gynecologic specialist. All its medicinals are commonly used in externally applied formulas for senile vaginitis and vaginal atrophy due to liver blood-kidney yin vacuity. Its function is to nourish yin and moisten dryness.
Specific Functions of Formula’s Herbs and Oils
* Dang Gui, He Shou Wu, Sheng Di, Gan Cao, and olive oil all supplement yin and engender fluids.
* Sheng Di clears heat.
* Dang Gui, Hong Hua, and Sheng Di quicken the blood.
* She Chuang Zi, Fang Feng, and Ci Ji Li dispel wind and stop itching.
* Xian Ling Pi and She Chuang Zi nourish the blood and supplement yang.
To Use: Apply a small amount to fingertips and massage into the external genitalia and the vaginal orifice. Apply 1-2 times per day until itching, inflammation, and dryness are relieved.
* For best results, use warm. Best taken in combination with a liver blood-kidney yin supple-mental formula internally, such as Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan (Anemarrhena & Philodendron Rehmannia Pill) that also clears vacuity heat from the upper burner and/or damp heat from the lower burner. Avoid sugars and sweets as well as excessive fruit juice.
